China, bullying Muslims in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) tells India off on a similar situation in Kashmir!
India has created a new region in a corner of the Indian occupied Kashmir. It is the Ladakh special region which is a Buddhist majority area.
China does not like the Buddhists to have their own special zone, especially on its border.
India is planning to take over land and resources which are under Muslim control in Kashmir. New Delhi’s plans are long term and the presence of thousands of new troops in the region is a testament to its plans.
CHINA CAN DO
But it is okay for China to dismantle the Muslim majority in the Xinjiang region!
China is worried about the events in Kashmir but not because of the risks it poses to the Muslim majority.
Of course, Pakistan is rushing to China amid the stripping of the status Kashmir enjoyed for seventy years.
Nevertheless, if the Muslims thinks the Chinese are going to make any difference in the Kashmir debacle, they are dreaming.watch Video of demonstration in India occupied Kashmir last Friday. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=523887648352271&id=499035840837452&sfnsn=mo
Thus, China is telling India they cannot strip Kashmir of its identity but it can strip Xinjiang of its identity.
China is also telling the world it can continue bullying the claimant states in the South China Sea but India cannot deal with Kashmir.
Kashmir is now recognised as part of India though it is a disputed occupation of the only majority Muslim state in India.
As a result of the dispute, Muslims in Kashmir are asking for India to vacate the region. Meanwhile, India wants to continue its occupation. On the contrary, Muslims want to be free from Indian rule!
Yet India is imposing its will over what it calls it ‘people’ because it believes Kashmir is its territory. However, Muslims reject India’s rule on their land.
But China’s tone towards India is conciliatory. Moreover, it is nothing aggressive or threatening.
China can threaten the smaller nations in the South China Sea because they are incapable to react aggressively against Beijing.
After all, they do not have the military or political capacity to stand up to China in the disputed seas. In contrast, China is not able to offend India with harsh remarks.
Incidentally, it plays the ‘diplomatic’ cards to atone its ‘concerns’ over Kashmir.
